About John Duryea:
John has a master’s degree in public policy from Regent University and a doctorate degree in educational leadership from the University of Central Florida. While there, he was a director of one of the university’s satellite campuses and adult continuing education programs. He was the Dean of Technology programs at DeVry University and Executive Director of a multi-million dollar, National Science Foundation grant for Valencia College. He is an adjunct professor at both Liberty University and Palm Beach Atlantic University.
John has been a Christian since the age of 27 and will be celebrating his 42nd wedding anniversary with his wife Carol. Together they have two sons and five grandchildren and have co-written two illustrated children’s books. John has served as a church deacon and guest speaker at churches in New York and Florida.

A painter, singer, dancer, hair stylist, actress and mom she is most known for her work with children teaching diversity appreciation through the Arts during her years as an Art educator at Lake Alfred Elementary.
Currently, Chanique is a full-time worship pastor at Discovery church Orlando where she gets to use her talent of singing and worship leading to encourage and build the Kingdom of God. She also is an independent songwriter who has several singles out and realeased her newest single “New Start” on January 12, 2024.

This week I talk to one of the most creative people I know — Chanique Davis. We talk about creativity and why we believe it is an essential part of a healthy spiritual life.
God is the most creative person in the universe … and if we’re made in His image, then we have the capacity to be creative, as well. In fact, we believe that creativity is a powerful force that can change the world.
In Luke chapter 17, Jesus says the Kingdom of God is within us. I believe one of the ways the Kingdom can manifest into this world is through, guess what … creativity. Listen in!

I have been a Pastor and Counselor for the last seven years and in ministry for the last fourteen years. Prior to that, I spent 10 years as a Naval Officer aboard a submarine.
I have the heart of a shepherd and love working with individuals and small groups. I have a particular heart for ministry leaders and pastors. But I enjoy working with anyone. I have worked with those struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, sexual integrity, sexual identity, abuse victims, church hurt, trauma, leadership wounds, and those who aren't quite sure what is going on. I’m certified in the Prepare and Enrich Premarital and Marital Assessment. I work with individuals, couples, and groups.
I have a Masters in Biblical Studies (2018) and a Masters in Counseling (2016) from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. I also have a BAS in Physics (2004) from the University of Illinois.
I obtained my license for mental health counseling (LMHC) in the state of Florida in 2021.
I have been married to my beautiful wife, Elise since 2010 and we have four wonderful children.
